Bono East Regional Commander of Ghana Fire Service Mr. George Anim Frimpong has expressed concerns that people do not abide by their teachings hence the many outbreaks in the region.

Mr. Anim in his assertion mentioned that it is the responsibility of the service to sensitize the public on the dangers of fire outbreaks, a step that will protect their wellbeing and also protect wildlife and vegetation.

 He said despite these teachings, the public do not heed to it but resort to bad behaviours and actions that bring about fire outbreaks.

The commander however has warned the public to accept the teachings of the service since that will assist to reduce bushfires in the region.

He has warned that anyone who would be found guilty of a fire outbreak would be arrested and sent to court for stiffer punishment.

Mr. George Anim Frimpong has as well entreated that the public ensures safety precautions regarding fire outbreaks in homes.

He has pleaded with the institutions and companies to get fire tenders that will help safeguard their companies from fire occurrences.

About three months till now 16 markets and other places have been burnt down due to the misuse of electrical gadgets in Bono East, especially Techiman.
