Central Region; Drivers at Kasoa Amanfrom and Akoti Road demand a 50% increase in lorry rate in the Central Region. 

Meanwhile some of the passengers said they don't support the Lorry fare increment calling on government to do something on it.

Following the announcement that lorry fares will be increased by 20% on Monday, trotro drivers at Kason from Akoti urged with their bosses to raise it to 50% rather than 20%.

According to the drivers, one liter of fuel now costs 12 Gh, making it impossible for them to provide for their wives and families after work.

They speak with soireenews after being interviewed about the upcoming lorry price hikes. 

Meanwhile, some of the passengers said they don't support the Lorry fare increment calling on the government to do something about it.

Some also said, they are Mason workers, and if the price of transport increases they will also increase their charges on the construction.
