Bright Mensah Tagbor Declares Bid For NDC Dome-Kwabenya Deputy Secretary Position

Bright Mensah Tagbor, has officially declared his bid for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) deputy secretary position in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com , the NDC firebrand stated that his decision to contest the position follows extensive consultations with party leaders, relevant stakeholders, and the esteemed constituents of the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency. 

Highlighting his track record of service and experience, the young politician said that over the years, he has had the privilege of serving the NDC in several strategic capacities.

He noted that he is a card-bearing member of the NDC who served as a Dome-Kwabenya Constituency election results collation team member for the 2024 general elections.

According to him, he was the campaign manager for Hon. Bright Paul Mintah in the 2023 assembly elections, adding that he played a leading role in the supervision and collation of the 2023 assembly election results for Hon. Mintah.

He added that he served as an NDC agent for the 2023/2024 limited voter registration at the district level.

He has also served as a member of the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency Election Directorate (2023 to present) and as the Kwabenya Ward Youth Organizer (2022 to present).

He served as a polling agent at the Sienkyem Basic School during the 2023 Assin North by-election and as the branch chairman for the Church of Christ God First (Kwabenya 2B).

Furthermore, he served as an active Kwabenya Ward campaign team member for the 2020 general elections and as the NDC branch communications officer for the Church of Christ God First (Kwabenya 1A) from 2018 to 2022.

According to him, these professional credentials, combined with his sixteen (16) years of professional experience with the Electoral Commission of Ghana, have equipped him with unmatched practical expertise, administrative competence, and a deep understanding of our constituency's electoral dynamics.

He stressed that his candidacy is motivated by a sincere desire to serve and to champion a new era characterized by effective representation, absolute transparency, and youth empowerment, concluding: "When entrusted with your mandate, I will dedicate my technical skills to support the constituency in five core areas:

Administration & Governance –Institutionalizing efficient tracking, data backup, and modern secretarial standards.

Communication & Coordination– Bridging the gap between the constituency executive committee, branches, and stakeholders.

IParty Organization & Campaigns--Building a robust electoral machinery ready to secure and protect every single vote.

Grassroots Mobilization – Empowering branch executives and maintaining constant engagement beyond election seasons.

V. *Accountability & Unity – Fostering an inclusive environment built on transparency and mutual respect.
