The Bono Regional Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Asare Bediako Seth has said the abysmal performance of the outgone Special Prosecutor, Martin Hamidu is all indications that could result in the outcome of the survey conducted by the Center for Democratic Development Ghana.

He was reacting to the current survey which showed that some 62% of Ghanaians they spoke with are of the view that the current government cannot be trusted with the protection of the public purse.

Post-election research conducted by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has revealed that the majority of Ghanaians are not confident in the ability of the Akufo-Addo government to protect financial resources and curb corruption over the next four years.

The respondents said they are also less optimistic about the administration’s ability to reduce crime. The survey which was carried out between May 3, and June 3 this year spanned across all the 16 regions in the country with 2,400 adult’s respondents.

Speaking on Ark in the Morning with Kwabena Obeng Akrofi monitored by Soiree News, ABS however said he will not begrudge or rubbish the findings but will not also accept all their findings as he blames the NDC for propagating lies against the Nana Addo led government.

Reacting to it, the NDCs communicator Isaac Amponsah Badu said the fight of corruption under the current government in all instances shows that they have failed hence the outcome of the survey.
