The motion to approve Deputy Ministerial nominees who have undergone vetting has been rejected by the minority on the basis of their concerns not being captured in the chairman's report.

Minority leader Haruna Idrisu raised an objection against the motion and asked that the report be amended to capture the concern of Honourable Alhassan Suyini who voted against the Deputy minister-designate for education Honourable Gifty Twum Ampofo.

Also, the first deputy speaker who is also the chairman of the appointment committee, Honourable Joseph Osei Wusu explained that he couldn't have added anything to the report after the secretariat has given him the final report.

According to the chairman, it couldn't have been fair to the rest of the committee members to add what was not agreed on as a committee.

Meanwhile, during the argument between the Speaker and the Leader of the Minority, the Speaker intervened and asked that he would not allow them to say things discussed behind the door on the floor.
