An NPP financier and philanthropist in the Ahafo Ano South West of the Ashanti Region, Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah has appealed to the Assembly members in the district to accept the Newly District Chief Executive nominated by President Akufo-Addo.

In an interview with Soireenews, Mr Osei Mensah Dapaah asked the NPP supporters in the constituency particularly the Assembly Members not to do anything to disturb the peace the area is enjoying in the wake of the release of the MMDCEs.

“This constituency is blessed with good human capital to occupy the positions of the DCEs position but this position is limited.

“To those whose choice was not mentioned should remain calm and support the lucky one,” he added.

He further urged supporters of the newly nominated DCE to celebrate in moderation.

“He then added that peace and unity should prevail all over the constituency for a smooth confirmation of the nominee.”

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo on 19, September 2021 released the full list of MMDCEs. In the list, the former district chief executive for Ahafo Ano South West, Hon Patrick Adu-Sei couldn't maintain his seat and was replaced by Mr Joseph Frimpong Bonsu as the new DCE.

The Youth Organizer of the Constituency, Hon. Charles Nicolas also added “the people in this constituency is happy with this appointment and it’s because they know what he can do.

“The major challenge of this district are roads and electricity and because of his experience in the assembly concept, we believe he will deliver for the district “.
