Ashanti region: Insecurity looms in Krobo Odumasi, residents plead for assistance.

Residents of Krobo Odumase electoral area in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly of the Ashanti region are crying over the increasing insecurity within the area.

They say, lives and property are currently unsafe and therefore urging the government to come to their aid.

Some residents told soireenews during the interview that hoodlums are having a field day in and day out in the area which the police had been unable to curb their activities.

According to the residents, there is an abandoned police station in the area which has remained a white elephant.

They are pleading with the city authorities to hand over the building to the Ghana police service for it to be operational to ease the situation.

Some disclosed how their daily activities have been halted due to the current state of insecurity in the area.

"Our daily activities are dropping, we need a swift intervention before something terrible occurs".
