Apologize To Me Or Else I Would Sue You--Aggrieved Akosua Agyapong Gives  48 Hours Ultimatum To Abraham Adjetey
United Concerned Members Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) led by its Chairperson, Akosua Agyapong, have given the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana GHAMRO, Mr. Abraham Adjetey 48 hours ultimatum to withdraw and render an unqualified apology over a recent allegation leveled against her during a press Conference.
Abraham Adjetey in a press release addressing the state of GHAMRO indicated that Akosua Agyapong had instituted a new SPINNERS ASSOCIATION which she takes money from them.
Akosua Agyapong on the other hand in a press conference today with united concern members of GHAMRO at the AMA premises is asking for proof of the said allegation within 48 hours or else she will take up the matter to court.
Akosua Agyapong in the press briefing further said many musicians are dying out of poverty whiles monies collected by GHAMRO’s officials are not being accounted for,” some 176 receipt books cannot be accounted for.
”We are hurting because GHAMRO’s office is just misusing our monies anyhow, enjoy themselves anyhow,” she said.
“Abraham Adjattey has not demonstrated and lacks the skill to facilitate that kind of togetherness and inclusivity in the administration of an organization like Ghamro! Many times, he is heard attacking the same people he is expected to work for on radio and TV and his autocratic decisions have led to financial losses at Ghamro. In fact, his actions and inactions have sent a lot of musicians into their graves.
Kojo Antwi lost his bearings and instead of working with his own colleagues, decided to employ the services of three prominent lawyers whose combined salary was enough to cater for more than 1000 musicians per year!

With all due respect, we still don’t know how Kojo Antwi arrived at that decision and it’s a matter that we are still trugg ling to understand! Rex Omar’s qua distribution and KPl are the worst so far of the three but he him to stay on to continue the somehow still thinks he has done a great job and everybody should allow abysmal performance! Sometimes he comes out as an arrogant individual whose ego goes through the roof anytime he is questioned about his failures.
He was recently heard in his press conference arrogantly and ignorantly challenging the attorney general’s office for withholding the license to allow them to collect and distribute royalties although they have been so many violations of the law which our consultant / P.R.O will address later. We want to admit that, we: seem to wash our dirty linen in the open which we very much do regret”, Akosua Agyapong explained.
She called on Auditors who audited GHAMRO in 2015 and 2016 to make the reports known.
