The Member of Parliament for Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Hon Sanja Nanja has declared his stance over the proposed Anti-LGBT+ bill.

According to the legislature, speaking on Star Entertainment Review Edition on Saturday, October 16, 2021, he will vote in favour of the bill.

The NDC lawmaker supported his stand with scriptures in ‘Genesis 1:1-27. He referenced that God created woman for man, besides He(God) commanded man to reproduce and fill the earth, therefore if the beginning started with a man and woman, there is no reason for LGBTQI+ to be entertained.

The formal stance of the country over LGBTQI+ rulership rest on the shoulders of Ghanaian parliamentarians in the days ahead. Whiles some dignitaries have been supportive of passing the anti-gay bill, others are against the idea defining that men have the right to pleasure in any way.

Hon Sanja further accused the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the LGBTQI+ brouhaha saying the father of the land has failed to openly deny the homosexual act to the world especially in his interview with BBC.

“LGBTQI has become serious since Prez Akufo-Addo failed to boldly resist the ungodly act on BBC platform,” he said.

The Honourable MP briefed that the Parliamentary Select Committee will conduct stakeholders consultation for the necessary amendment before the approval”.

He concluded by emphasizing that, the people of Atebubu-Amantin are against homosexuality and so dies he.

“Atebubu-Amantin sees LGBTQI + as bad, our culture is against that so I will vote for the bill,” he ended.
