Ankobeahemaa Of The Dormaa Traditional Area Calls On Women To Invest In Their Children Than Material Things.

Desist from buying funeral clothing and other unnecessary items that will not benefit you, but rather invest in your children's welfare.

The queen mother of Amasa in the Dormaa Central Municipality of Bono Region, Nana Yaa Korkor Sakyiwaa III who also doubles as the Ankobeahemaa of Dormaa Traditional Area has advised all women in her area to desist from buying funeral clothing and other unnecessary items that will not benefit them but rather invest into their children's welfare.

At the Mothers Day Celebration yesterday at the Agape Evangelical Church Amasa, the queen-mother tasked all women as matter of urgency to be responsible to ensure quality child upbringing instead of neglecting their children for material things.

She further stated that, though men are the head of their families women should back up and do something very important to support their families and stop spending anyhow with whatever amount of money that comes their way.

The Guest Speaker for the occasion Very Rev.Kwame Amoh Mensah, the  Director of Evangelism Mission And Renewal, Beula Methodist Church Wetland in Accra also advised the mothers to train their children well to do away with teenage pregnancies to avoid competing with their parents to prevent perpetual poverty from their families.

He then explains that the best way to train their children is to live an exemplary life in a way their children can learn from as leaders.

He finally advised children to respect their parents to abide by their instructions to enable them to secure a better future some years to come which is not far.
