The Ghana National Fire Service Commander in charge of Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Paa Kwasi Adutwum has advised that it's essential for the general public to acquire fire extinguishers and fire certificates in their homes and offices.

He stressed that the fire extinguishers would serve as special aid when there are fire outbreaks.

DCFO Paa Kwasi Adutwum in an interview with the press cautioned that every public place like companies, offices, and other institutions should be equipped with a fire extinguisher and also train people on how to use them.

DCFO Paa Kwasi Adutwum seriously advised Ghanaians to desist from making plunk calls at any fire station because moving the fire thunder comes at a cost.

He made this comment when he embarked on two days tour to monitor Western North Fire Department.
