The Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency, Honorable Ben Ayiku has celebrated mothers for their "immeasurable sacrifice, support and service towards your children and families."

The MP who is also the presiding elder of the Apostolic Church, Teshie North Assembly took opportunity of the occasion and acknowledge the toils and dedication of mothers towards nourishing the lives of children and family.

Addressing the congregation on Sunday, May 9, 2021, Honorable Ben Ayiku expressed that the selfless nature of mothers is highly remarkable hence the need for everyone to salute the generous works, relentless display and sacrifice towards mankind.

“Mothers are indubitably a symbol of love and care,” he said.

“Behind the success and growth of a child, there is a mother who stayed awake day and night to bring his dreams to reality. For the day a child is born, the work of the mother starts. Right from teaching to walk, eat, speak, and write she is always there for you.

“Mothers also act as the binding material that keeps the family together and intact. With immense love in their heart, they keep everyone happy. It's therefore very befitting that Leonardo DiCapri once described mothers as a walking miracle.

“Practically, every day is a day for mothers. But to honour your motherhood, your sacrifices, your love and care, every year (the second Sunday) of May is celebrated as Mother’s day.

On this occasion of Mothers' Day, I will like to wish all mothers in the Ledzokuku Constituency a Happy Mothers' Day for your immeasurable sacrifice, support and service towards your children and families; and for your priceless contributions in making our society better, I celebrate and appreciate all mothers on behalf of the good people of Ledzokuku.
