The Akrofi-Christaller Institute (ACI) has held its 14th Graduation ceremony to help promote African innovation and excellence. 

the institute intended to serve the wider Christian and academic community had its 14th Congregation made up of 46 graduands. 

Addressing the gathering, the Rector of the Institute Rev Professor B. Y. Quarshie recalled the chronological activities for the past academic year to the day of graduation saying the 2019/20 academic year was full of expectations.

Adding that the steadfast love and unceasing mercies, as well as the faithfulness of the Lord, had carried the ACI institute over the past 32 years and are glad to enter the new academic year.

Furthermore, the Rector Professor Quarshie lamented that the first semester went well as planned but, dramatic developments occurred in the second semester yet the Lord sailed them through, commanding them not to fear, the Lord straightened them, and upheld them His victorious right hand.

Moreover, while they had postponed, among other activities, their graduation ceremony, they are grateful to God that they can now meet at this time to celebrate the achievements of the graduands and report on what, by his grace, they were able to do during the past academic year in the face of all the changes.

Launching deep into the purpose of the gathering, Rev Prof Quarshie said various activities and programmes set for the first semester took place as scheduled. However, once the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, their second-semester programmes were affected in a variety of ways.

Going further, he gave statistics of the graduands compared with the previous academic year with the following breakdown.

38 graduated with Master of Arts in Theology, four also graduated from Master of Theology (MTh), 
and the remaining four graduated in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Theology. In all, 46 graduated over the weekend at Akropong Christ Presbyterian Church in the Akuapem North Municipal with a total school population of 96; 84 Ghanaians, eight from other African countries and four non-African nationals.

Dignitaries that graced the occasion were Rev Professor Pashington Obeng been the Guest of Honour. The Chancellor Professor Ablade Glover. Professor G. M. Bediako, Deputy Rector, and all Council members, All Heads of Departments, Paramount chiefs, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Clergy, Alumni representative.
