The Member of Parliament for Banda, Honorable Ahmed Ibrahim has described the leader of the New Patriotic Party caucus in Ghana's Parliament who doubles as the MP for Suame, Honorable Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as a born minority.

The Banda legislator made this comment in response to the heavy loss of the NPP in the speakership election in parliament.

According to him, the Suame MP'ss posture and demeanor caused the defeat of the NPP.

"He failed the day the president delivered his last state of the nation's address," he said.

His body language, his demeanor shows he was not ready to dialogue. There's a saying that the minority will have their say but the majority will have their way, yet Kyei Mensah wanted to have his say.

"He always wants to attack instead of dialogue. He should have consulted us, the minority so we could have reached a consensus but he never did and that's why I said he's a born minority leader," the lawmaker added.

"In 2016, Nana Addo invited the leadership of NDC to dialogue even when they had an overwhelming majority of 63 extra MPs, In the history of this country, no majority leader has had such a huge number of majority than Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, but what did he do with it, he has brought them to zero, he, therefore, should change his body language and demeanor going forward," he told.

The Banda Member of Parliament also detailed that, the deputy Ministers under Nana Addo's first term were not given the chance to work as the title was just for funfair, a reason to him, most of the deputy Ministers lost their respective seats in the December polls.
