AGAG supports KCCR with 37,706 cedis into prostate and breast cancer research
Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research is appealing for more support to conduct research into breast and prostate cancers.
Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi mine, together with it's contractors on November 19, presented a cheque of 37,706 cedis to support the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research into breast and prostate Cancer research.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of Anglogold Ashanti Ghana, the Human Resource information systems officer, Susana Ndede explained the rationale behind the donation.
Dr Mrs Augustina Sylverken, Research fellow at KCCR and a senior lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology on behalf of KCCR thanked AGA and contractors for such a kind gesture.
She used the opportunity to call on other companies and individuals to support KCCR to conduct research into breast and prostate cancer due to the high rise in cases.
