Reappoint performing MMDCEs- Pastor tells President

Rev Frimpong Boadu, Chairman of Bechem Local Council of churches and head pastor of Baptist Church Ghana at Bechem, in Ahafo region, has urged President Akufo Addo to consider Metropolitan Municipal District Chief Executives who excelled in their line of duty for reappointment.

He stressed that some of the MMDCEs performed extremely well in the NPP’s first term and need to be commended for another term to complete their good service to their constituents.

Speaking in an interview with Soiree News Ahafo Regional Correspondent, Rev Boadu stated that replacing such chief executives with new ones could affect the development of their respective areas.

He added that though the President has the appointing authority, “there is the need for him to consider recommendations by the regional vetting committees and reappoint all MMDCEs who will be shortlisted for the appointment”.
