Afua Asantewaa defends love for Kuami Eugene; my hubby is also crushing on Omotola

The married broadcaster called the highlife musician her crush in an interview with Joy Prime, stating that her affection for him had an impact on her performance at the sing-a-thon.

Afua Asantewaa recalled a day when Kuami Eugene visited her at Akwaaba Village and made her forget some of her rhymes during the interview with IB Ben Bako.

She humorously remarked, "I said that guy came, and I could not remember my lyrics. I said ‘this guy has worried me.’ If Guinness people don’t give me the record, it’s Kuami Eugene."

Afua added that her husband was aware of her admiration for Kuami Eugene, saying, "My husband knows. So when he got there I said ‘Kuami, you have worried me. You shouldn’t have come. I sang ‘Asuoden’ and you know his rap comes after. As I stood there, I did everything I couldn’t remember."

Social media users are debating whether it is proper for a married lady to publicly admit that she has a crush on someone other than her spouse in light of her public declaration of that crush. Some contend that having a crush is not a big deal, while others take issue with Afua's remarks.

In response to the trolls and backlash on her Instagram Story, Afua wrote, "Aaaw, jokes turn bitter pills. Husby sef his crush is Omotola (honey will say ah bebe). Don’t give yourselves a headache, wai na life is too short. Wear Ghana, Eat Ghana, and Tour Ghana to know Ghana."

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum set off on December 24, 2023, with the goal of breaking the record for the longest singing marathon, which is set to end on December 27, 2023. The previous record was held by Sunil Waghmare, who sang for 105 hours in 2012.

Afua Asantewaa finished her effort on December 29, 2023, setting a new record with an astounding 126 hours and 52 minutes.
