Volta River Disaster Saga: Fear And Panic Gripped Residents As Aggrieved Man Uses100 Gods To Rain Curses On Flood Relief Item 'Thieves And Hijackers'–Here Is Why
FEAR and panic have gripped residents of Mepe Traditional Area in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region following the invocation of deep curses on ‘flood relief item thieves and hijackers.

This frightening development follows a bold decision taken by visibly distraught young man to use hundreds of gods and ancestors in Mepe to curse some prominent individuals in Mepe who he accused to have intercepted relief items meant for flood victims, diverting them home and misappropriating them.

Mr Doe Ahedemele, a professional teacher who is one of the victims of the flooding incident resulting from the Akosombo and Akuse dams spillage wants the deities and ancestors of Mepe to deal with those involved and alleged to be operating under ‘orders from above.’

Mr Ahedemele who was seen in the video with a bottle of drink stands poured libation to invoke the gods to deal with everyone playing a part in what they say is plain thievery, and asked that the guilty should not be spared a moment of sleep nor peace.

"I ask our traditional gods and ancestors to chase anyone responsible for that act, chase them in the night, by day, whether he/her lies down, stands, at table, bathing, in bed with the wife/husband, let them know that they have touched the untouchable, he prayed.

"I am stressing that l am pouring this drink on the ground today to call our various gods of this land to come and drink to ensure that they deal with the people who had stolen or hijacked the items donated by various individuals and organisations which were meant for the affected victims of the flood incident caused by the Akosombo and Akuse dams spillage," he added.

He told Soireenews.com that his decision to invoke the deep curse stems from the fact that actual victims who have been affected by the flood disaster have rather denied receiving the relief items donated by the donor groups.

He noted that many people including himself, who had their house buildings even broken down have left out completely.

Some of us who decided to find place to be sleeping instead of going to the schools to distract learning end up being denied
"We are saying that the he National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) representative here are also writing their families names who were affected by the flood instead of the hard hit victims to benefit from the relief items.

"We are saying on the record that If the officials of the NADMO and the MP's workers on relief items including the workers of the North Tongu District Assembly who are writing the names of the victims doubt they should bring the names they had written so far for scrutinization," Mr Ahedemele challenged them.
He indicated that pieces of evidence available clearly show that instead of the receivers to ensure an equitable sharing of the items donated by the donor groups among the displaced persons, they had connived and succeeded in hijacking, diverting flood relief items to their personal homes and misappropriating them.

According to Mr Ahedemele who had his temper very high in the video, the relief items stealers had committed a very unforgivable sin hence all the gods in Mepe should pitilessly deal with them.
He ended his curses by stating emphatically that if indeed some receivers of the relief items were not the ones who have stolen and hijacked the items for their personal used then all the curses should escape them.
