Efya says Bullgod embarrassed her with “Wizkid and partying” comments

Renowned Ghanaian singer Efya has revealed that she felt humiliated by a social media post by artiste manager and entertainment expert Nana Asiamah Hanson, also known as Bullgod, in which she claimed that Wizkid of Nigeria is only interested in going out with her rather than performing with her on international stages.

Bullgod voiced dissatisfaction with how Ghanaian musicians are missing out on chances to market their work on significant international platforms in a Facebook post last month.

"So R2Bees and Efya can hang out with Wizkid whenever he's in Ghana, but they can't perform with him on international stages?" Bullgod had made a post.

However, the Best in Me hitmaker claimed in a promotional video for Atuu that will run on UTV tomorrow, August 26, that she had a good connection with Bullgod, who could have easily phoned her to voice his opinions but instead decided to post such things on social media to humiliate her.

I am aware that Bulldog could have called me instead of posting something on social media to make me seem bad. How does that benefit me psychologically as an artist?" she asked.

Bullgod's remarks, which likely rekindled talks regarding Efya's apparent lack of enthusiasm in fully realizing her musical potential, prompted the four-time VGMA Vocal Artiste of the Year to respond to them personally for the first time.

In the interview that hasn't yet been broadcast, Efya also discussed the significance of the Nocturnal prefix to her name.

"I struggle to fall asleep at night, so I added Nocturnal to my name. It appears that I am constantly busy at night," she said.
