A Fulani Woman Gives Birth whiles on nature call

According to information received by us, a Fulani mother gave birth to a healthy boy while using the toilet at Agyata in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region.

According to the community's Staff Nurse, Acheampong Amos, who aided Salamatu Amadu during the delivery, one of the Fulani herdsmen came to him about 9:15 a.m. today and informed him that one of their women was in labor.

Meanwhile, Salamatu Amadu, who was nine months pregnant, told the headsman that she was going to the toilet to answer nature's call, not realizing that it was her time to give birth.

When Amos Acheampong and Ruby, a Community Health Nurse, arrived on the scene, they discovered that the membranes had raptured with the head in the vaginal canal, and they were able to help the woman in delivering the bouncy baby boy within 12 minutes.

On a motorbike, the mother was transported to the community health clinic for comprehensive maternity and newborn care.
