Asafoatse Tortimeh of the Kle Tsokunya family who is one of rival factions fighting the chieftaincy status of Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Area in the Greater Accra Region, has called on the rival groups and elders of the three ruling gates of Prampram namely Abbey Doku Mansro We, Tetteh Djan Larbi Agbo We and Kwei  Opletu We to accept the installation of Nene Tetteh Wakar lll as the only recognized Paramount Chief of Prampram.

"We the elders of these rival gates should burry our differences because it is now the right time for all of us to accept Nene Tetteh Wakar lll as our only Paramount Chief to help ensure peaceful coexistence within Prampram which would bring  social and infrastructural development to the area, Asafoatse Tortimeh who joined thousands of citizens and of the Chief of Prampram Nene Tetteh Wakar lll on Tuesday August 23, 2022 to start activities marking their two-day Annual Homowo festival.

Homowo of the Ga-Adangbe people literally mean "hooting at hunger," traditionally signifies a period of abundant harvest after a prolonged famine.
The day was marked with the sprinkling of Kpokpoi, pouring of libation and drumming, dancing and singing of Asafo songs thorough the principal streets of the town.
This year's celebration is under the theme "Peace and Harmony."
Nene Tetteh Wakar lll accompanied by his elders and the Chief of Dawhenya, Nene Tetteh Koodi IV, sprinkled Kpokpoi at Annorwe (the ancestral ruling house of Prampram), Tetteh Djan/Larbi Agbo We (Royal house), Nii Kwei Opletu We, and Doku Mansro We the main entrance to the town and the streets to signify the beginning of the festival.

Nene Tetteh Wakar lll called for unity and peace to enable the people to plan and execute development projects and said division and litigation were not in the interest of the town since they rather retard progress. He urged the people to use dialogue to solve their problems.
Nene Tetteh Wakar lll said that the celebration of Homowo should be used for family gathering for the settlement of disputes, planning funerals, marriages, divorce and the performance of Dipo (puberty rites).
He advised the people not to waste their resources on litigation and disputes, which retarded progress and development.
Some of the elders interviewed regretted that Prampram had no Senior Secondary School even though they hired lawyers at great cost to litigate.

"The courts although can take a decision, the decision cannot satisfy both parties. We want peace and we want development as the resources that we are wasting in the courts, I believe we can channel them to better uses in Prampram".
"What are we striving for, if we are asking for peace we are asking for peace so that development can take place in Prampram. No development can take place in a chaotic situation; investors would not even come.
"We have to count ourselves blessed as the government is today commissioning the Sport complex of Excellence in our town. This project is going to create job, a lot of opportunities for our people but if we are in a chaotic environment we cannot benefit as a people".

They advised the people against HIV/AIDS, saying, "It is spreading like a wide fire and if we play with it we will get it and if we get it we are certainly going to die" and called on the youth especially to be careful with their life.
For his part, Nene Gamu Darpoh, who is also a Family head of Anan-darpoh called on all the people to use the occasion as a rallying point to deepen the prevailing peace and unity in the environs of Prampram.

Earlier, the Chief of Dawhenya, Nene Tetteh Koodi IV, urged them to unite for the development of the area.
