A 15 bedrooms self-contain house has been burnt to ashes at Sampa, the Jaman North District capital.

The incident happened on Friday, January 29, 2021, at 2:30 PM.

Eye witness report told that the fire outbreak commenced from a room he shared a wall with. 

He narrated that he couldn't get access into the room to quench the starting fire because the doors were tightly locked.

It took the fire service department in the Jaman North about three hours before reaching the scene.

Some angry residents attacked them for the delay which rendered victims hopeless as the whole building was completely down by the time the fire service arrived.

Security personnels intervened and guided them to proceed to work.

Upon further investigations by the Bono Regional soireenews correspondent, Nana Ama Asiedu, the fire service personnels were disclosed to be distributing water to a contractor at a nearby town, which wasn't part of their assigned duty. 

The victims are yet to speak to the media.
