Fails To Appear Before Court Despite
Being  Served With The Summons
IT HAS emerged that Paramount Chief of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area in the Central Region, Obirifo Ahunaku Ahor Ankobea II, has failed to appear the High Court of Justice in Kasoa, despite being served with the summons.
This follows when Paramount Queen Mother of the Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Area  Obaatan Ama Eduwa I has filed a lawsuit against Obirifo Ahunaku Ahor Ankobea II, over a dispute regarding the traditional capital.
The bailiff reported that Obirifo Ahunaku Ahor Ankobea II,rejected the service, hastily discarding the documents and retreating into his chambers upon receiving and perusing the summons. 
In response, the Court has directed the bailiff to make a subsequent attempt at service, this time accompanied by a police officer. 
The case has been adjourned to Thursday, coinciding with the scheduled inauguration date in question.
Non-compliance with the court’s directive to appear will be regarded as contempt of court. 
Moreover, given the temporary nature of the interlocutory injunction, which expires in ten days, any actions taken by the Paramount Chief related to the subject matter of the writ during this period will result in a charge of contempt.
