Fulani Herdsmen Destroy farm produce worth over GHC10k in Bono East

Farmers at Bonte, a farming community in the Nkoranza North District of Bono East Region have lost farm produce of about GHC 10,000 to Fulani Herdsmen.
About 17,000 cattle had earlier on Friday, February 4, 202 destroyed farms at Anama, Salamkrom, Kyekyewere, and Makyinimabre, sub-communities in the Nkoranza municipal.

The Municipal Police Commander of Nkoranza South, ASP Wisdom Diaba had also assured earlier on that they were going to deal vigorously with Fulani herdsmen to prevent further destruction.
The Fulani herdsmen consequently, stormed the farms with over 6000 cattle yesterday, Wednesday 17th February 2021 destroying completely several food crops, such as maize, cashew, vegetables among others.
Nana Krobea Asante Sarpong ll, Chief Bonte who confirmed the incident told SN24 News that, farm produce of about GHC 10,000 have been completely demolished by the cattle.
He said they have reported the case to the Nkoranza North Police command to arrest and prosecute the Fulani Herdsmen
