A firebrand politician who was a vice-presidential candidate for the Ghana Fredom Party, Mr Emmanuel Abankwah Kesse following the Obomeng LGBT marriage saga has called for an immediate formulation of law to fight the practice of LGBT in Ghana.

The Politician known by many as 'Olumanba' urged for the government to enact laws and pass them to curb lesbianism and gays activities in the country than to 'use mouth' for the fight.

According to Mr Abankwah, at least if a culprit is sentenced to serve 30 to 35 years jail term, it will be a deterrent to others, emphasizing that it would help fight the uncultivated activities in Ghana.

'I am not sure this LGBT activity is happening at only Obomeng or Kwabenya alone. There may be other areas where such activities are still ongoing, so why not formulate a law to punish defaulters in order to sanitize the system from these inhuman acts? he questioned.'

He added that our society customs frowns on such acts, hence the law must deal with them mercilessly.
