FORMER MINSTER of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor has stated that death of the late former of Ningo-Prampram Constituency of the Greater Accra Region,  Honourable Enoch Teye Mensah is a great loss to the nation.

According to Dr Duffuor who doubles as the former Governor of Bank of Ghana, the death of the 77-year-old MensahNingo-Prampram's longest-serving MP, has hit the nation hard and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
 
Dr Duffuor sorrowfully said this when 
and NDC Luminaries paid respects to Late Hon. E.T. Mensah on Thursday.
In an expression of deep sorrow and solidarity, Dr. Duffuor joined hands with other distinguished members of the NDC to commiserate with the family of the late E.T. Mensah. 

This poignant moment of togetherness unfolded on the 24th of October 2023, as they visited the residence of the departed veteran, Honourable E.T. Mensah.
The nation mourns the loss of a husband, son, and esteemed member of the Council of State.

The visit marked the culmination of a heartfelt journey that began with a visit from the family and leading members of the NDC to Dr. Duffuor’s office on Thursday, the 19th of October 2023. 
They came together to formally inform Dr. Duffuor of the passing of his dear friend and comrade, E.T. Mensah. 
The sense of loss was palpable, and the desire to pay their respects was undeniably strong.
Dr. Duffuor was not alone in his endeavor to offer condolences and celebrate the life of  E.T. Mensah. 

He was accompanied by a distinguished delegation of NDC luminaries.
 The group included former Minister and Member of Parliament, Hon. Fritz Baffour, as well as former Eastern Regional Minister and Deputy Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, Hon. Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere.
 Additionally, former NDC National Organiser Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, Comrade Kofi Aikins, Mr. Kofi Kukubor, and Mr. Abass M. Osabutey lent their support and shared in the moment of reflection.
The meeting was a poignant gathering of sorrow and remembrance, with the widow, children, and siblings of the late E.T. Mensah present to receive their condolence.
Mr Ade Cooker, the Family head, added his voice to the gathering, and the presence of other dignitaries such as Former NDC Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr Ade Cooker, Former Minister and MP Afotey Agbo, and NDC Deputy Greater Accra Regional Communication Officer Simon Tetteh underlined the significance of the occasion.
The visit to the family of the E.T. Mensah served as a touching tribute to a man whose contributions to the nation and the NDC were immeasurable. 

It was a moment when political affiliations faded into the background, and humanity came to the forefront.
 It underscored the enduring bonds that connect individuals in the political sphere, transcending party lines in the face of loss.
