The North East Regional Minister, Honourable Yidana Zakari has commissioned a mechanised borehole funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

Together with the Country Director of USAID, a mechanized borehole project was unveiled in Zarantinga on August 6, 2021, as other rehabilitated boreholes under the auspices of USAID were also inspected.

The Regional Minister in his remarks thanked the government and People of the USA, and for that matter USAID, for their kind gesture.

He also encouraged the Chief and People of Zarantinga to take proper care of the project by exhibiting a maintenance culture to serve the intended purpose of providing potable water for the people.

He seized the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to USAID, through their country director, to kindly extend the same gesture to the people of Nagboo, who are also having difficulty in accessing potable water.

On their part, they (USAID) requested a proposal from the People of Nagboo for assessment and possible consideration.
