Upper Manya Krobo MP Promises To Fix Water Problem In Otrokper Community

The indefatigable legislator of the Upper Manya Krobo Constituency of the Eastern Region, Honourable Bismark Tetteh Nyarko has spent about a day to familiarize himself with the Otrokper community with a promise to work on the water problem in the area.
Honourable Nyarko made the first stopover at Otrokper No 2 where where he met with a section of the community leaders.
He was faced with the lack of potable water due to the damage of the only borehole in the community.
They also requested for speed ramps along the section of the school when the road is completed.
The MP assured of his readiness to put the borehole to use as early as can be practicable.
The Honourable Member of PARLIAMENT then continued to Otrokper No 1 where he was met on arrival by the Dademantse, opinion leaders and Branch Executive Members of the NDC.
The problem of potable water and sanitation is not better in this community too.
Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko was led to an abandoned site in the community where the District Assembly, under Hon Felix Odjao had started a KVIP toilet.
The project was abandoned as soon as the NPP lost the parliamentary election and all materials were carted away.
Another dangerous spectre of a broken down borehole was shown to the MP.
According to an opinion leader , several approaches were made to the District Assembly to help rehabilitate the borehole to avert any disaster. But all these never yielded any positive outcome.
Honourable Nyarko immediately called for an expert on boreholes to come over to profess a solution and provide an estimate.
The legislator assured the people of his readiness to find a lasting solution to their borehole and the KVIP toilet in a short period of time.
