The Ashanti Regional Police PRO ASP Godwin Ahianyo said the police have commenced investigation into the death of two young men who died on Sunday, January 16 on alleged fighting over  "WEE".

He stressed that the police had a distress call which they swiftly attended to.

He added that currently two persons who existed as nicest colleagues are confirmed dead while three others have been sent to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police have however begun  Investigation into the consequence.


BACKGROUND:

Two persons have been killed at Kotwi, in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident happened at about 7:30 pm on Sunday, January 2022.

 
Eye witness and a local resident at Kotwi, Foster Emmanuel, narrating the cause of the incident said, the two deceased persons are ghetto boys in the area.

 The two deceased are Nana Bonsu 30, a base owner, whose customers are known in the area as rascals, and other young men who are yet to be identified are currently confirmed dead.


The eyewitness continued that, the mother of the unknown deceased warned the ghetto owner to prohibit his son from the base.

“This evening he went to the place and the mother went there to sack him, he disagreed and attempted stabbing his own mother to death but the ghetto owner and other members in the ghetto tried stopping him.


He turned his anger to the ghetto boys, he first stabbed the ghetto owner in the chest and also stabbed other three boys. Two out of the three other ghetto boys are receiving treatment at the Gary Marvin hospital but the ghetto owner couldn’t survive, he died on the spot”, he narrated.

He took to him after committing the heinous act but, the other boys also chased him, and killed him too at Kotwi Jordan Junction.


The bodies have been conveyed by the police to the morgue for autopsy and preservation, whiles the injured are receiving treatment.
