Determination and focus are key in choosing a career - Lawyer Jennifer Owusu

A private legal practitioner in Sunyani, in the Bono Region Jennifer Owusu, has advised young girls or women to stay determined and focused in choosing their career paths as the only way they can achieve their desired careers.

Speaking on Ark FM Afisem as part of the Women’s Month celebration monitored by Soiree News reporter, Nana Ama Asiedu, she noted that myths and misconceptions surrounding certain professions have compelled some women to choose the wrong professions.

She entreated all women to go for what they desire to do by staying focused and determined.

Ing. Winnefreda  Adusei, a mining engineer with Newmont Ghana asked girls with the desire to venture into male-dominated professions including engineering, law among others, to take their studies seriously to be able to achieve their aim.

Abena Acheampomaa Ankoma, also an engineer, charged young girls to get mentors to guide them to choose their career paths since knowledge alone could not make one successful but interest is also key.
