Foden celebrate win

Two second-half goals from Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden cancelled Jude Bellingham’s opener for Borussia Dortmund to hand Pep Guardiola his first Champions League semifinals since joining Manchester City.

The victory hands Manchester City a 2-4 aggregate into the next round and they will play Paris Saint Germain.

Jude Bellingham scored the opener to put the hosts in front on aggregate in the 15-minute.

The move started with Haaland getting in down the channel, he pulled the ball back for Dahoud to strike, and although Rúben Dias blocked, it dropped to Bellingham who superbly side-footed into the top corner.

Guardiola’s side were awarded a penalty in the second half after Emre Can went to head the ball, but it came off his arm as well and the referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot for a penalty. Mahrez wasted no chance and scored from the spot to level the scores.

Phil Foden doubled their advantage in the 75-minute. Mahrez took a corner short to Bernardo Silva, who played the ball to Foden on the edge of the penalty area. He shot low, left-footed and it went in off the post.

The game ended in favour of the English club by 4-2 aggregate.
