Tunisia arrests more critics of the president

Chaima Issa, a well-known foe of President Kais Saied and a high-ranking member of the National Salvation Front, has been detained by Tunisian authorities.

Issam Chebbi, the head of the Republican Party and another vehement opponent of the president, was also detained earlier.

The detained leader of a private radio station in Tunisia is accused of money laundering with political overtones, according to attorneys representing him.

Head of the well-known Mosaique FM, Noureddine Boutar was detained earlier this month.

Mr. Saied has long faced criticism from the network.
