The newly installed chief of Ayikai Doblo Divisional Area in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Ayi Kojo V, has sent a strong worded messages to the editor and management of the Moment Television to, immediately retract and render an unqualified apology to him for publishing fabricated lies and libelous storie against him.

This was after the electronic media house through its Morning Show Host, Mr Kweku has telecasted libelous story against the Ga traditional ruler that he has dupped the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West Municipal Assembly, Mr Clement Wilkinson Odartey Lamptey in the false pretent of selling the forty plots of land located at Abamma in Ayikai Doblo to build houses for the lawyers.

Nii Ayi Kojo V deems the publication in the Moment Television defamatory hence his decision to take action against his accusers if they fail to comply with the instructions from him to retract and apologize to him in their role in spreading false claims.

According to the chief, the publication he complained of is absolutely false, products of the accusers ’ imagination, and were mischievously designed by the accusers to disparage him, stain his hard-won reputation, court public disaffection for him and bring him into abhorrence in the eyes of right-thinking members of the public and the global community.
The Ga traditional ruler, in an interview with some journalists, said his reputation has been “violently damaged” and stated the Moment Television did not give him a chance to respond to the allegations.
Nii Ayi Kojo V denied the wide spread allegations being made against him by the Municipal Chief Executive to the effect that he has duped him in false pretence of selling the forty plots of land located at Abamma in Ayikai Doblo to build houses for the lawyers.
Setting the records straight on the matter, the
Ga traditional ruler stressed that it is not true that he has resold the land purchased from the Ayikai Doblo Stool by the MCE for the Assembly to another developers as being claimed by the MCE and reported by the Moment Television.
According to Nii Ayi Kojo V, Mr Lamptey who caused this fake and cook publication to be aired against him on the Moment Television on Thursday July 20, 2023, has completely misled or miscommunicated the real details of the issues to the broadcast journalists of the Moment Television particularly the host of the Morning Show, Mr Kweku who had virtually lied in their reportage.
He accused the broadcast journalists of the station of being biased in their publication on the air since they had failed to cross-check the matter from him before they went to the air to telecast the news which were gone viral on the social and traditional media platforms.
Nii Ayi Kojo V admitted that the MCE has approached the elders of the Ayikai Doblo Stool to purchase plots of land for the housing projects for the lawyers for which the MCE has made payment of GH¢ 40,000.00 for what they described in the traditional selling system as bush allowance to the stool.

He stated that categorically that the MCE was very much aware that the GH¢ 40,000.00 being paid by him cannot even buy one plot of the land at Abamma which is a prime location at Ayikai Doblo in the Ga State.

"I want to authoritatively reiterate that barely three years ago the Mr Clement Wilkinson Odartey Lamptey who was accompanied by some five people came to approach the accredited elders and members of the Ayikai Doblo Stool and requested that he (the MCE) needs a total of ten acres of the land which which was forty plots of land to purchase for some people.
Nii Ayi Kojo told the journalists that after the MCE's meeting with members and elders of the Ayikai Doblo Stool, they took the MCE and his followers to show the pieces of the land located at Abamma in Ayikai Doblo and that the MCE showed interest to buy for the people as he requested.
The chief explained that after they had allocated the land to the MCE to purchase, they had used an excavator machine to clear the plots of the land allocated to the MCE to buy.
He noted that after the allocation of the ten acres of the land to the MCE, he requested that the members and elders of the stool should to follow him and follow to Ga West Municipal Assembly office so that he gave them an bush allowance of the forty plots of the land he requested to buy from the Ayika Doblo Stool.
Following this arrangement l have asked my people to go and see the MCE in his office at the Assembly for the payment of the bush allowance as the customs demand in the transaction in the sale of land in Ga State.
"...but the MCE requested that since l am the traditional leader of the people who went to the bush to allocate the land to him (MCE), it would better for me to follow my people to his office to witness the payment of the bush allowance he, (the MCE) is going to pay to my people.
"So when l together with my people went to the office of the Assembly that day, the MCE made a payment to the tune of GH¢40,000.00 to them for bush allowance. And that the GH¢ 40,000.00 he gave to us as the bush allowance for the allocation of the land he requested from us to buy.
"However per our customs, now that the MCE would have to sit down with the members and elders of the Ayikai Doblo Stool to discuss the terms of contractual agreement of the actual money the elders of the stool would charge the MCE for the purchase of the 40 plots of the land allocated to him to buy for the people," the chief vividly derailed.
Nii Ayi Kojo V maintained that since the MCE has paid the GH¢ 40,000.00 for the bush allowance which has justified his commitment and readiness to purchase land from the stool, the MCE failed to sit with them to finalize the deal of the land transaction amicably.
"Following this development we have made several follow up to the MCE to enable him to sit down with the members and elders of the Ayikai Doblo Stool to properly, legally and lawfully enter into the contractual agreement in the connection of the payment terms on the transaction of the land but the MCE has since the payment of the GH¢ 40,00.00 bush allowance woefully failed or refused to meet them again," Nii Ayi Kojo V stated.
The chief reiterated that they have followed up to the MCE to sit down with them for almost a year, but the MCE has not availed himself to them.
"Look (referring to this journalist) it has been an occasion that l have even took my lawyer JK Yeboah to the office of the Assembly to see the MCE and requested that the MCE should arrange to sit down with us to enter into the proper agreement on how much the MCE would pay for the purchase of the plots of the land or how the MCE would arrange for the payment terms of the land land he is buying from the members of the Ayikai Doblo Stool....but the MCE still didn't minded us for one year of  which we have struggled to follow up to the MCE," the chief added.
"So as for me l have forgotten everything and last year when l was there one day when the lady by name Gloria Odey who has fronted the purchase of the land from us to the MCE called him via telephone and requested that they have thought otherwise that the money the MCE has paid to us (Ayika Doblo Stool) as the bush allowance to buy the plots of the land, we should allocate even one or two plots of land to balance initial payment of GH¢ 40, 000.00 being paid by the MCE. And l have agreed to the request made by Gloria Odey in that regard," the Ga traditional ruler reaffirmed.
To ensure peace and unity to prevail in this matter, the chief indicated that "l have  personally ordered my people to go and show Gloria Odey the different plots of land which was located at the same Ayika Doblo Abamma enclave.
The chief maintained that "since then my people have gone to show Gloria Odey the land, she has not showed up till now.
So since then l have not heard from Gloria again, and that it came to me as surprise that the MCE has caused the this fake publication to be done on on Moment TV in Accra on Thursday July 20, 2023.
Against this back, Nii Ayi Kojo V called on the  general public to disregard the publication and treated it as untrue publication made against him.

The chief stressed that the publication was a calculated attempt to soil his hard won reputation and called the management of the Moment Television to, immediately retract the publication and render unqualified apology to him or else he would take legal action against the station and the journalists.
Nii Ayi Kojo V resisted that the elders of the Nii Adama Pataku family were not the custodian owners of the said lands in Accra as being claimed by the self-styled caretaker of Nii Adama Pataku family Mr James Laryea Ashia  now decreased.
The chief repeated their early warning to individuals land developers and organizations who bought the plots of land from the group of people from the Adama Pataku family
who are not recognized members of the Ayikai Doblo Stool should ceased developing the land in order to not loss their properties.
