There is no direction and hope as a country, can the rest of Ghanaians survive till 2025? - TDN asked

It has become abundantly clear that this Akufo Addo-Bawumia government has completely lost direction and that the entire country has lost hope in it except for some selected few who are benefiting from the looting brigade.

President Akufo Addo, Dr. Bawumia, and Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng among others managed to deceive the good people of Ghana with lies and propaganda to win the 2016 elections. So after coming into office in 2017 to date, all we see are corruption, thievery, and state capture.

What is so sad and worrying is that they have failed to honor 20 percent of what they promised Ghanaians. After borrowing huge sums of money and high killer taxes collected hence, we have nothing or very little to show for it. 'Where da money goes dey...'

In a press statement signed by the Director of Communications for Truth Defence Network (TDN), Unas A. Dadzie is worried about the level of corruption, mismanagement of the economy, and broad day 'robbery' by this nonperforming government.

According to him, these have resulted in the astronomical increase in the price of goods and services and the general hardship we are currently experiencing as a country.

"Take, for instance, fuel (eg. diesel) that used to sell at less than GhC16 per gallon in 2017 now sells at more than GhC52, so a whopping GhC100 can not buy just two gallons", he said.

He added that the rising unemployment situation in the country is very alarming however; if the government was a listening one, some drastic measures should have been put in place to avert it.

"But sadly enough in all of these harsh conditions, most Ghanaians find themselves in and one can not freely express his or her opinion. Hasn't this government taken us back to the days of a culture of silence?", he asked.

However, TDN wishes to plead with the government to as a matter of urgency reduce the high-class corruption, thievery, and total mismanagement of the country to ease the pressure in the system in the TDN's opinion, this current situation Ghana finds herself in a national security threat. A secured youth guarantees a secured nation.
