Uncompleted Durbar Ground

The Assembly Member for Ahenboboano Electoral Area at Wamanafo in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region, Honourable Ernest Kusi Twum has called for the contractor in charge of the community’s durbar grounds to return to the site after abandoning the project for months now.

In an interview with Soiree News, the Assemblymember stressed that the project was started in 2020 prior to the election by the former Member of Parliament, Honourable William Kwasi Sabi but has since been abandoned.

According to him, the abandoning of the project by the contractor has become a challenge in the community as the place has been their venue for all events and due to the half project done there, its purpose is not fully utilised.

Hon. Kusi Twum is therefore appealing to the current MP, Hon. Twum Barimah and the Assembly to contact the contractor to return to site to complete the project for the people of Wamanafo.

Touching on other challenges facing the community, he addressed the extension of electricity.

The Assemblymember stated that the community is fast-growing and needs electricity to be spread across the various communities.

He told that thieves are taking over the Area due to darkness in some parts of the community at nights.

Hon. Kusi is appealing to the Dormaa East Assembly and the MP to come to their aid.
