THE DISTRICT CHIEF Executive (DCE) in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region, Mr. Solomon Owusu who is aspiring to be the Parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the 2024 general election has revealed his contribution towards the development of the Jaman North district since he assumes the office of the DCE.
He disclosed that his outfit together with the entire leadership of the Assembly introduced a paperless system of revenue mobilization and other financial transactions which he said has prevented bribery corruption and other negative perceptions of the people about the revenue collectors of the District Assembly.
Speaking to Diawisie TV online, Mr Solomon Owusu stressed that the lifeblood of every institution or Assembly is its finances or revenue hence MMDCEs must not only depend on Common funds or the Central Government for the development of their Assemblies but must invent ideas that can increase the rate of Internally Generated Funds (IGF) hence the decision to introduce the paperless transactions and revenue collection to ensure taxpayers build confidence in the activities of the assembly.
Mr Owusu touted his achievements since he was appointed DCE explaining that he has used the accrued IGF genuinely to ensure masses of the constituents benefit from the Assembly.
He added that his administration facilitated the reroofing of about 13 school buildings that lost their roof to a heavy rainstorm that took place within the 2023 year under review.
He  stressed that there has been a reshaping of some deplorable roads in the area, expansion of Goka Market shells and the laying of pavement blocks in the newly constructed Goka Market projects constructed by the middle belt Development Authority.
He stressed that he spearheaded the termination and re-awarding of the Jaman North District Administration Block, the equitable distribution of D-PAT funds to various communities in the construction of school buildings to enhance education, and the completion of some uncompleted projects being initiated by the immediate past DCE.
On the Seketia - Goka Tiled road, the DCE expressed his dissatisfaction against the former Jaman North MP, Honourable Siaka Stevens for his continuous claim of credit for the work done on the road.
The DCE  explained that the completion of the First and second phases of the above-mentioned road was as a result of his hard work as the District Chief Executive who made series of follow-ups to ensure the contractor comes on site to complete the construction.
He noted that the former MP could be credited for initiating the project but as the DCE, he deserves to be highly acknowledged due to his contribution towards the completion of the road.
