The Church of Pentecost has called for a three-day fast and prayers for Ghana's economic recovery

The Church of Pentecost (COP) Executive Council has requested that all COP members participate in a nationwide fast and prayer meeting beginning on November 10th.

The circular, which was seen by 3news.com, is dated Saturday, November 5, and requests that members "pray and plead for the country and the world community."

According to the circular signed by Chairman of COP Apostle Eric Nyamekye, "We should also pray for wisdom for our leaders to find urgent answers to these difficulties."

The subject of the fasting and prayers, which are expected to culminate on Sunday, November 13, is: "So we fasted and prayed to our God about this, and He heard us" (Ezra 8:23).

Nevertheless, it has been requested that all assembly carry out their current weekly schedules. Any existing weekly regimen may be combined with these times of prayer and fasting.

"All Area Heads and Ministers are to participate and organize these sessions at whatever level that is convenient and will produce the best outcome."

Apostle Nyamekye exhorted believers to "continue trusting God with the faith that He will reply to our prayers and offer comfort to the country" in the face of difficulties.

"May the Lord pour on the church the spirit of the petition, and the burden to stand in the gap and build a hedge for the country," he said in his prayer.
