The Deputy Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Benito Owusu Bio spoke urged everyone who partook in the exercise to go and see to it how that it grows where we targeted 5million seedlings.

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured the government's decision on continuous planting trees.

According to him, his Ministry is really determined to Green Ghana - this is to say, the exercise will continue in the upcoming years.

The Minister used the opportunity to show his greatest gratitude to the Chief Justice, Justice Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the former President of Ghana, Mr John Agyekum Kuffour, Chairman and  Members of the Council of State, the Chief of staff, Mrs Akosua Fremah Osei-Opare, the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, the Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panyin, the overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abubakari Mahama II, the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu, the President and Members of the National House of Chiefs and many others, including the entire Ghanaian citizens for making the tree planting exercise very successful.

The Deputy Minister-designate for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Benito Owusu Bio spoke to the press commenting on the fact that Ghanaians have shown much care for planting trees to save the forest and its natural resources.

“This shows that Ghanaians can  unite and decides to plant trees to prevent our forest from destroying, it is a good initiative, however; we all joined in doing this project, “he said

“During the tree planting project, we did not see NDC, NPP and other political parties rather we saw Ghanaians working hand-in-hand. I really appreciate everyone especially our students and the Ghana Education Service (GES) for their hard work involving all students, he stressed

“We are not only planting trees only this month but this will be done yearly hence proper care will be done to make sure that other pest does not destroy them,” he stated

He finally urged everyone who partook in the exercise to make sure the targeted 5 million seedlings are nurtured.
