Techiman North District Celebrates 10th Anniversary After Its Creation.

Speaking at the Celebration on 29th November 2022, Honourable Addo-Donkor Everson said, though some leaders have come ahead of him he is the third District Cheif Executive in the history of the District after Honourable Anthony Kwaku Manu and Honourable Peter Mensah whiles Members of  Parliaments like Honourable Alex Kyeremeh, Professor Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi, Honourable Martin Oti Gyarko have contributed immensely to the development of the District since its inception.

Techiman North District is 10 Years and on 28th June 2012, was carved from the Techiman Municipality of the then Bono Ahafo Region by the Late President  Professor J.E.A  Mills upon which all administrative work officially started at the District capital located at Tuobodom with its decentralised agencies commenced their work.

There's a saying that a country that does not celebrate its heroes is not worth dying for hence, the need to honour the leaders through their relentless effort Techiin man North District came into existence.

The current District Chief Executive (DCE) Honourable Everson Addo-Donkor, the Coordinating Director, Mrs Georgina Tumbakorah and the leadership of the Assembly have collaborated to bring together all past and present political leaders, Traditional leaders, Religious leaders and other leaders to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the District. 

Speaking at the Celebration on 29th November 2022, Honourable Addo-Donkor Everson said, though some leaders have come ahead of him he is the third District Cheif Executive in the history of the District after Honourable Anthony Kwaku Manu and Honourable Peter Mensah whiles Members of  Parliaments like Honourable Alex Kyeremeh, Professor Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi, Honourable Martin Oti Gyarko have contributed immensely to the development of the District since its inception. 

He added that, with his collaboration with the current Member of Parliament, Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu Ajare, they will ensure to work together and continue with all that they can to help add more projects to the development and progress of the District. 

Honourable Everson also emphasised the need to promote peace and unity to pave the way for more development and also promised to complete all abandoned projects in the District to benefit the residents of the respective areas.

A profile of the District was shown in a pictorial description of projects, development and progress of where the District began and where they have reached now.

Honourable Everson speaking at the celebration which was under the theme; 10 Years of Gains, the Role of Stakeholders said, all stakeholders in the District have to contribute their quota in diverse ways to develop the District and to elevate it to a Municipal status which they deserve.

On his part, Mr George Pedmore Mensah the Bono East Regional Coordinating Director, speaking on behalf of the Regional Minister, Honourable AKwasi Adu Gyan commended the Traditional Authority and other stakeholders through their tireless effort made the establishment of the Techiman North District Assembly came into reality.

He again urged all stakeholders to rise and show a high commitment to the uplift of the District and avoid all security threats that may hinder the development of the area to pave way for accelerated development.

Citations were given to all past Members of Parliament, District Chief Executives, Presiding Members and some other stakeholders whose efforts made the inception of the Techiman North District possible. 

Honourable Everson Addo-Donkor later in the day cut a sod  Tuo for dom Magazine to put up one unit 3 classroom block with an ancillary facility which will be funded with Internally Generated Fund (IGF) which will be completed within a one to two-year period. 
The name of the school will be called Anniversary Eureka Garages Basic School to help provide quality education for the children within the catchment areas.
