Misunderstanding at RCC

Commotion is reported to have happened at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) in Kumasi where the Council of State election is ongoing.

Information from the grounds reaching SoireeNews revealed that some assembly members have been spotted capturing their ballot on phones as evidence of who they voted for.

The reason for such acts is that some Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) have allegedly imposed a candidate on the voters and so to prove that they casted their votes for the person, mobile phones were employed.

The Electoral Commission has condemned the act and reminded that voting is a secret responsibility of electorates and so such actions cannot be entertained on the grounds.

Baffour Awuah threw his support behind the Agona Akrofonsohene, Nana Owusu Brempong.

The election has come to an end and results will soon be announced.
