Tamale Celebrates Fire Festival in a Grand Style

The festival is celebrated every  new year of the local calendar and it comes with the story of a Chief (son) who got missing in a forest and found under a tree after a search by the youths in the community.

Tamale Celebrates Fire Festival in a Grand Style

The annual fire festival which is mostly celebrated by the Gonjas, Dagombas, and Mamprusi in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region has this year been celebrated in a grand style.

His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo joins the residents of Tamale to celebrate the Fire festival with the people.

The festival is celebrated every new year of the local calendar and it comes with the story of a Chief (son) who got missing in a forest and was found under a tree after a search by the youths in the community.

Where they jubilate in singing, dancing, and drumming full of joy as they return the prince home from the forest.

This festival is celebrated to mark the lost but the found prince back home.

The celebration goes with a bomb fire in the night where most of the people both old and young cheer through the streets with burning fire to jubilate in the occasion.
