Two institutions, SNAAT Theological University College in collaboration with Zioncity University College have jointly garnished the traditional leader of Amanokrom within the Eastern Region with doctoral honours.

The honour was to recognize him for his selfless contribution to better the lives of humanity and to further encourage him on his humanitarian agenda particularly, towards the less privileged including orphans and widows within and without his jurisdiction.

At a memorable event put together by the two institutions last Sunday, February 2023 in honour of the traditional leader, a life coach, counselor, and philanthropist at the Ghana branch of the Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International in Oyarifa, Accra, the noble leader was decorated. Speaking in an interview with journalists at the sidelines of the ceremony, Co-Founders of SNAAT Theological University College, Bishop Stephen Amartey and Lady Rev. Jennifer Amartey disclosed that their outfit settled on Nana Ibrempong I following his relentless contribution towards making lives of better for the less privileged within his reach. As part of the mission statement of SNAAT Theological University College which seeks to honour individuals and groups whose efforts are impacting positively on society, they identified Nana Obrempong I upon embarking on a community outreach program. According to Bishop Stephen Amartey, his outfit noticed the efforts of the traditional leader upon getting to Amanokrom.

Bishop Amartey said they enquired about the activities of the traditional Leader and realized his effort of paying school fees for students, catering for widows, and serving the needs of society amongst other things, and thought honouring him will serve as the basis to step- up his efforts to support humanity better. He bemoaned the attitude of trying to honour people only when they are dead therefore urging that people must be recognized while alive. While working on the mission, another institution, Zioncity Theological University College was also working in the same that regard. In an interview with the Founder of Zioncity Theological University College, Bishop Dr. Isaac Ameyaw Yeboah, he stated the same reason for decorating Nana Agyei Obrempong I with a deserving honour. Bishop Ameyaw Yeboah reiterated the need to honour people as a way of strengthening them to do more for society. He said when people are recognized for their contributions towards making society better, they tend to be motivated to go all out. Reacting to the honour of the duo institutions, the Chief of Amanokrom, Nana Agyei Obrempong said it will urge him to step up his efforts to reach more people and communities. To him, the honour simply means that his humanitarian activities done in obscurity are impacting positively on the lives of individuals and societies. He said this is urging him to intensify the efforts to reach more people and societies. While entreating the leadership of the country to be committed to solving the challenges of various communities, he urged the youth to take advantage of any opportunity to develop their God-given talents.
