Seventh Day Pentecostal Assemblies In Kumasi Sacks Apostle Machaiah Addai Amidst Tension

At a joint press conference held in Kumasi last week, it was stated that the attitudes of Apostle Machaiah Addai contradict the doctrines of the church and perhaps Christianity.

They have disclosed, henceforth Apostle Machaiah seizes to be part of the church on the basis that he keeps using blasphemous languages against God. He has twisted the doctrine of the church that a christian can marry about four women, which contradicts the gospel. 

He added that Machaiah, as part of his disrespectful acts, has snatched his church member’s wife in addition to his three wives, which ended up in Manhyia palace last two weeks and was pronounced guilty to pay a fine and also slaughter sheep in compensation. 

The Church is distancing itself from Apostle Machaiah’s promiscuous behaviour, which seem to bring shame to the image of the church. They’re urging people not to associate with him or conduct any church-related business with him.

‘‘After the founder’s passing in 2007, Machaiah Addai assumed the role of caretaker. That’s where the problem originated. 

He has contradicted the doctrines of the church on so many occasions and disrespected the hierarchy. And perhaps we want to dissociate ourselves from his evil deeds. 

In order not to disgrace the church, we want state it clearly that he is no more our church member. 

The church and the association do not know anything about his evil deeds and illegal behaviours and anyone who does any business in the name of the church does that at their own risk,” he stated.

“Prior to that, they have taken legal steps to expunge his name from any documentations,” the story added.
