Selected Names for Council Of State Election Missing in the Upper West region
On the 23rd of January, 2021, the house presented names to the district coordinating director as its representatives for the council of state election and the agreed names are nowhere to be found on the list of names the aspirants are served.

The Assembly Members for the Daffiama – Bussei – Issa District in the Upper West region have expressed worry on why the names of persons selected to represent the district in the upcoming Council of State election went missing.
According to the lawmakers of the Assembly, selected names were presented selected as representatives for the Council of State election to the district Co Coordinating Director on January 23, 2021.
The selected persons were Honorable David Kuubini and Honorable Gandiibu Evans, which were further supposed to be presented to the Aspirants but the Assembly members in a press statement issued to the media indicated that the two (2) names as agreed were nowhere to be found on the list of names the Aspirants are served with.
In the statement, the Assembly members accused the Acting District Chief Executive, DCE and the Coordinating Director of shortchanging the selected names to reasons best known to them.

COUNCIL OF STATE ELECTION:
DAFFIAMA-BUSSIE-ISSA DISTRICT REJECTS THE SELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVES.
The Assembly members of Daffiama- Bussie- ISSA rejects selection of representatives for the election of the council of state.
The objection is on the basis that, the Ag. District Chief Executive Hon. Nadi Imoro Sanda unilaterally hand-picked names through the District coordinating Director Mr Abdul-Sallam Kadiri to represent the district in the upcoming council of state election on 12th of February, 2021. This action is not grounded in law( 1992 constitution of Ghana) article 89, clause (2) paragraph (c).
On the 23rd of January, 2021, the house presented names to the district coordinating director as its representatives for the council of state election. The names were Hon David Kuubini and Hon Gandiibu Evans. We have however found out that the said agreed names are nowhere to be found on the list of names the aspirants are served.
We take a strong exception and objection to the names Hon. Nadi Imoro Sanda unilaterally selected to do his bidding in the upcoming council of state election. We demand that, the right thing be done as a matter of emergency.
It will not be out of place, to suspect a conspiracy between the Ag. DCE, Coordinating director and the Electoral Commission to present the illegal selected names for the council of state election.
This much exposes Hon. Nadi Imoro Sanda on how he has been causing disunity among assembly members in the Daffima-Bussie-Issa District. He can't run away from the issues surrounding the election of Presiding member over a year now in the assembly.
