The Director for Children at the Bono Regional Department of Gender, Children and Social Protection George Yaw Ankamah is calling for the resignation of presidential staffer Nana Hesse Ogyiri, describing his comments about the daughter of former president John Mahama’s Daughter, Farider Mahama on her birthday as sexually offensive.

According to Mr Ankamah, describing a minor as “well endowed” is not allowed.

Meanwhile, a group known as Damsel Foundation is also calling for the dismissal of the presidential staff, Nana Hesse Ogyiri over a sexist and abusive comment the latter allegedly made about former president John Mahama’s daughter, Farida Mahama.

Commenting under a Facebook post to celebrate the young girl, Nana Hesse Ogyiri said, “Former President John Mahama’s daughter, Farida. She has fully developed and well-endowed. Very manageable. What do u think?”

He received wide condemnation from many social media users, causing him to later apologise.

Commenting on the issue to Soiree News, Mr Ankamah said the 1992 constitution prohibits people from making sexual comments on children and married women.

He added that the comment is shameful and uncharacteristic of a presidential staffer therefore it will be in his best interest to resign.

He is of the view that the comment will go in a long way to affect his political and social life.
