Russians have been accused of staging French assassinations in Mali.
A Twitter account, which the French military believes was likely formed by the Kremlin-linked Wagner Group, has already uploaded photographs of pixelated corpses buried in sand and blamed the French for their deaths, according to the French military.

The French military claims to have captured footage of Russian mercenaries burying dead outside a military facility, corpses it claims are being used in a deception attempt against departing French troops.
The photographs, which were captured by a drone after the French had departed the Gossi outpost in northern Mali, appear to depict Caucasian soldiers sandbagging remains.
