Portugal International Cristiano Ronaldo demands £510,000-a-week to seal the transfer deal and join Manchester City from Juventus.

But there are still many obstacles and issues to overcome if a deal is to be struck.

Such a deal would make him City's highest earner by a mile which could upset others in the squad.

But the transfer is by no means off the table. For example, Juventus want between £24million and 25.5m, or a player, in return for Ronnie - who has a year left on his contract - which the Lilywhites are reluctant to do at this stage. Sun Sport reports.

Man City forward Kevin De Bruyne is the Citizen’s highest earner on £385,000-a-week.

England International Raheem Sterling is second on £300k-a-week with John Stones (£250k) and new £100m signing Jack Grealish fourth on a cool £230k-a-week.

The signing of the contract now is not as difficult as the reaction of some of the players in regards to Ronaldo being the highest-paid star per the reports.

Ronaldo’s agent and Man City have already agreed personal terms. Spanish outlet AS reports today.

Despite the difficulties, City face convincing the Old Ladies to let Ronaldo leave on their terms, they remain adamant.

According to Sky Sports News, Ronaldo’s agent Mendes failed to come to an agreement with Juve chiefs - with the club refusing to let him go for nothing.
