Everton lost their second game of the season to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium.

Callum Wilson's brace and Fraser's deflected hit deepened the Toffee's defensive woes after poor defensive play.

Eddie Howe strengthened his Bournemouth side after their defeat at Leicester, making four changes. Ryan Fraser, Jefferson Lerma, Chris Mepham and Adam Smith were replaced by Dominic Solanke, Diego Rico, Jack Stacey and Lewis Cook.

Stacey made his Premier League debut after signing from Luton for £4million in the summer while Cook returned from nine months out following an ACL injury.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was restored to the Everton team at the expense of Moise whiles Andre Gomes was replaced by Morgan Schneiderlin.

Bournemouth took the lead through Callum Wilson in the 23-minute by a set piece. King was awarded a free kick in the Everton half. He mishit the effort across goal and the ball looped into the air. Wilson and Ake both went up together and the Englishman got the final check to hit the ball at the back of the net. VAR confirmed the strike after complaints of an offside.

Richarlison's presence in front of the Bournemouth defense was intimidating; he was located with balls but his efforts were not enough to pull them level. Digne in the 37-minute beat Stacey and got a cross into the near pot where Richarlison met it with a diving header. His effort was just wide off.

Calvin Lewin balanced the game in the 45-minute. Richarlison got down the right and clipped the ball In the danger zone. Calvert Lewin rose above Steve Cook and powered a shot in the net. That was his first goal in 13 minutes.

Fraser doubled the lead for the Cherries once Richarlison gave away a silly free kick on the wing. Fraser stepped up and whipped in a low center that didn't look to cause too many problems. Delph took a wild swing with his wrong foot and the deflection left Pickford unsighted.

Callum scored the third for Bournemouth and his second in the afternoon. Rico spotted the run of Wilson after a shambolic defending from Mina and Keane. He got behind the two defenders with ease and Pickford came to meet the striker. He lobbed the ball iover the goalkeeper into the far corner.

The game ended after five minutes of additional time.
