Alex Donkor Residents of Gomoa Amanda in the Gomoa East District of the central region, have been left with no option but to resort to open defecation for over decades.
According to some residents who spoke with the soireenews indicated that a community with over three thousand (3000) population has no public place of convenience (Toilet).
Some of the residents with long faces on the matter said, the only toilet facility in the community was built by the nongovernmental organization but has been out of use for decades without repair.
They further stated that several complaints have been addressed to the Gomoa East district chief executive, Honorable, Solomon Darko-Quarm, the MP of the constituency, Hon. Desmond- Paitoo and other stakeholders but all their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.
They concluded that both men and women visit the bush and refuse Damps to ease themselves when nature calls.
