Residential robbers take over Bronkong-Afrancho community

Residents of Bronkong-Afrancho in the Afigya Kwabre South District, Ashanti region are in a state of anxiety as a result of insecurity in their community by way of residential robbers.

The rampant raiders attack in the community has raised major concerns by the residents and whether the Police and other  Security Agencies in the country have heard their plight is questioned yet to be answered.

Madam Ruth, a victim who was attacked by one robber with a machete on Thursday night on her way from work told Soireenews how she struggled with the unidentified man over a bag she was carrying.

"I normally come home late from work and that, I have been cautioned by neighbours to be careful because Bronkong community is not safe," she told.

"So yesterday, on my way to the house, I saw a man coming from behind and when he got to me around the footbridge, he ordered me to bring my bag where I refuse and cried for help. It was there he bolted away when he saw another man calling for his name," she recounted.

Some of the residents also shared their own experiences on how they are being tormented by these criminals at night as they apportion the blame on the Odikro of the community, Nana Darko Mprah II,

They revealed that he (Nana) is aware of the happenings in the community by doing nothing to support the committee in the quest to overcome the plight despite the Assemblyman's eagerness to find the solutions to this problem.
